Hello world. Stay Tuned.

Hi. I’m Sean, a podcaster, singer-songwriter, teacher, longtime librivox volunteer and dad in Midland, Ontario, Canada. I’m known as ductapeguy all over the interwebz, mostly because I wrote a song about duct tape and it stuck.  This year I have participated 2 songwriting challenges:  February Album Writing Month and the Fifty Songs in Ninety Days Challenge.  I have written 46 songs since January 31.  That is more than the total songs I had written in the past 20 years.

Last week, my eighth grade daughter presented me with a challenge I could hardly refuse.  She said that if I participated in National November Novel Writing Month (Nanowrimo), then she would as well.  Several other family members may also be along for the ride.  I have set a blog, We’re Writing What? for a place to document our preparations and our journey to each write a “long story” in November.

Brainstorming Our Stories Together

Today over breakfast, SJ and I shared the progress each of us were making in thinking about how our novels will come together.  I think she has a firmer grasp on her world, her story and her characters than I do.  I’m looking forward to seeing them come to life on the page.
